Posted by

Travel dudes fit into many categories from the business entrepreneur to the nomadic adventurer. The one trait they have in common is the lack of time to waste in packing and executing their time on the road. These 10 gifts will help expedite them on their adventures, whether they be career-related, vacation-oriented, or a thrill-seeking escapade.

  1. Bose Quiet Comfort Noise Canceling Headphones (click here)

I have owned a pair of these legendary headphones for years and they are my go-to airplane headphone. They cancel the flight noise with ease, and they are comfortable enough for transcontinental flights. I’ve recently bought the adapters so that they fit my new iPad and iPhone. The sound is top notch, and the small padded carrying case is compact and holds the adapters as well.

2. Messenger Bag (click here)

My husband used this messenger bag for 25 years before he decided to buy a designer backpack instead. This bag only gets more fabulous looking as it gets distressed. All the various compartments and pockets seem never-ending. He found areas to store pens, flashlights, pocket-knives, basically, anything you can imagine!

3. Swiss Army Card (click here)

Another must for my husband is the Swiss Army Card. The size of a credit card, this gadget comes complete with a pen, pin, scissors, tweezers, toothpick, letter opener, nail file, and screwdriver. Several delicious color choices to pick from.

4. $100 Cashmere Crew Sweater (click here)

This classic crew sweater is yummy cashmere and comes in a multitude of colors. It’s also a non-fussy sweatshirt style so dudes like it. Period.

5. Folding Ray Ban Wayfarer Sunglasses (click here)

I must admit that I own a pair of these as does my husband. These are the ultimate travel specs. They fold up (and fit into a case) inside a small pocket in your pants (or purse). They look cool on, and they block the sun completely. Disclosure….you will have to take them off to make your smartphone recognize your face…..but it’s worth it!

6. Birkenstock Arizona Shearling Leather Sandals (click here)

Another item both my husband and I share a love of. These cozy fury sandals work in summer and winter. I realize Birkenstocks may not be for everyone, but if comfy airplane travel is your thing, this shoe fits the bill.

7. Bombas Socks (click here)

This is my favorite sock company. I like their work ethic (they give away socks to the homeless), and I love their unique socks. The seams and padding just fit right and are designed differently than other socks. A panoply of colors awaits your selection.

8. Toiletry Bag (click here)

This House of Jack toiletry bag is the “jack of all trades” bag. It’s got compartments for everything and is the ideal size for most trips. The fabric is durable and stain resistant.

9. Baseball Wallet (click here)

Had to add this one, although it’s clearly not for every traveler. My husband is a jock and this is his go-to wallet. I cannot tell you how many people have complimented him on it or asked him where he got it. Our son has one too. If your guy ever had a beloved mitt as a young boy, he will treasure this mitt wallet too.

10. Packing Cubes (click here)

After traveling for years, I’m finally a convert to packing cubes. The concept is that the traveler places their rolled-up clothing into the cubes, places the cubes into the hotel dresser, and never needs to “unpack” or “repack.” This is exceptionally useful for trips with frequent location changes. Eagle Creek sells every size and shape of cube imaginable. I’ve grown to love the large envelopes, medium cubes, and small sacs.
